BIRKENHEAD Park have begun training for the new season with Alex Donkor, backed up by Mike Barnes, John McNally and Mike Swainston, providing the coaching experience.
The build-up programme will include a weekend training camp and three warm-up matches against local opposition.
New signings include fly-half Jason Gilbert, who has had spells with Bradford and Bingley, Waterloo and Widnes, No 8 forward Peter Lewis, who is returning from Prenton, and prop forward Steeve O'Keefe, ex-Waterloo and Liverpool St Helens, who has recently returned from Australia.
Park are also hoping to announce more and new Chairman of Football Harvey Davenport would welcome inquiries and invites interested players to join in with the training.
