GLOBE reporter Steve Hunter is jetting out next week to take part in the Mullingar International Bachelor of the Year contest in Ireland.
If he wins, Steve gets £1,000 for Claire House children's hospice.
Steve, aged 25, was 'press ganged' into entering the Guinness-sponsored contest by editorial colleagues.
Ryanair and Liverpool Airport have teamed up to get Steve to Mullingar in time as he will be working on the paper the night before. Liverpool Airport has adopted Claire House as a charity to support.
