NEW Wallasey Regeneration aims to create an all year round leisure and tourism economy in New Brighton as part of its wider programme to improve Wallesey for the next Millennium.

An ambitious new programme of outdoor events and activities has been launched in New Brighton this year, to attract visitors and support the businesses that depend upon them. "Being the main sponsor for the Wirral Show provides New Wallasey with a showcase event in New Brighton to demonstrate our commitment to leisure activity and tourism,"explained a spokesman.

She added: "New Wallasey Regeneration is bringing several major acts to the Wirral Show. These include The RAF Falcons Free Fall Team, Gerard Naprous Cossack Riding, Moto Stunts International and Gus Dermody Sheep Dogs, all of which will appear in the main arena throughout the weekend. In addition to these acts, the Children's Farm and the Crazy Bears are also sponsored by New Wallasey Regeneration in keeping with our family 'fun all Summer' campaign.

"The New Wallasey Team will be on site throughout the weekend in our own marquee next to the main arena to give information and advice on the initiative, so we hope people will visit us and see what we have to offer from community grants to business support, events sponsorship to educational assistance."
