TWO men have been discharged at the prosecution request at Wirral Magistrates' Court on an allegation of attempting to murder John Allan Ackers at Wallasey in July.
A new charge was put to Alexander John Ross, aged 43, of Eastpack Court, and Robert Colin Maxwell, 28, of Limekiln Lane, both Wallasey, alleging they inflicted grievous bodily harm on Ackers on the same date.
They were committed for Crown Court trial and were bailed for six weeks to appear for plea and direction at the higher court.
