DONNA was her name . . . She has died as a result of meningitis. Fun-loving young mother Donna Pilcher enjoyed taking her 12-year -old son to theme parks and dancing to Sixties music.

Friends, with colleagues at an amusement centre in Liscard, have launched a charitable memorial appeal on behalf of Donna's 12-year-old son Robert.

Donna's parents Chris and Linda Hadfield, of New Brighton, are still coming to terms with the tragedy caused by the sudden illness. Their fun-loving daughter, aged just 33, devoted to Robert, was working hard to build a new life for them locally.

Raffle tickets for a signed Tranmere Rovers football, donated by the club, are on sale at the Albion Hotel, New Brighton.

We will keep readers informed of other charity events and offer the family the sympathy of our readers - Editor.
