POLICE were yesterday interviewing four men following a fatal stabbing on a normally quiet housing estate during the Bank Holiday.

Residents in Stathlawn Close, Rock Ferry, part of a housing association development, heard noise and shouting on Monday night during a chase involving a group of men.

It was later revealed that one 22-year-old man received fatal stab wounds and another suffered serious chest wounds.

Residents on the small estate were both shocked and reluctant to talk about the incident yesterday as police inquiries continue. No one would comment on reports that the attack was drugs related.

Children were kept in their homes. Anyone with information should ring Merseyside Police on 777-2264.
