FORD has announced its exciting Ford Puma ST160 Concept, revealed to universal acclaim as the ultimate Puma at the 1999 Geneva International Motor Show in March, will go into limited production in late 1999, priced at £23,000 on-the-road.

Based from the UK's best selling small coupe, the Ford Racing Puma will be virtually unchanged from the original Geneva concept. It will extend the distinctive new edge styling of the standard car with a unique front splitter, wider wheel arches and larger alloy wheels, to create an exclusive and eye-catching performance vehicle. The sporting appearance will be completed with a Ford Racing Blue paint finish, first introduced on the Ford Mondeo ST200. Only 1,000 Ford Racing Pumas will be available in the UK.

To accommodate the revised wheel and tyre package, Ford Racing Puma boasts a striking yet functional styling package. The comprehensively equipped Ford Puma interior is enhanced in Ford Racing Puma with the addition of front seats trimmed in a distinctive blue Alacantara fabric.
