From Mary Dixon:-
THERE have been endless complaints about dog fouling of pavements, parks and the like which, even as a committed dog lover, I have to admit is an environmental nuisance and hazard in some areas.
However, there are other pavement dangers every bit as threatening as dog faeces, if not worse - broken glass, for instance, and more pavement cyclists (subject to a fine if caught, but when are they?).
Surely it is time something was done to protect the law-abiding citizen, particularly the frail elderly, from such day-to-day dangers? Or are we about to go into the next Millennium at the mercy of the computer?
