THREE men, one from Bidston, have denied being involved in a multi-million pound plot to bring heroin into the UK from the Continent.
Keith Ross, Kevin McFaul and Terence Wout have pleaded not guilty to conspiring together with others to supply heroin between August 18, 1997, and January 29 this year.
Hendrik Smit, 27, of De Lange Linde, Surinam, South America, has pleaded guilty to the conspiracy charge.
A fifth man, Glen Wyna, aged 42, of Halton Way, Great Sutton, denies possessing heroin with intent to supply on November 8 last year, and possessing the drug.
The case involves arrests on Merseyside and in Cheshire, and a trial has been fixed at Liverpool Crown Court for November 1.
Ross, 49, of School Lane, Bidston; Wout, 28, of Schiedamseweg, Rotterdam, and Smit were further remanded in custody.
Wyna and McFaul, 46, of Norville Road, Broadgreen, Liverpool, were further remanded on bail.
