A RUNCORN father is still in intensive care - three weeks after a horrific accident on Runcorn Expressway.
Gary Blackburn, 32, of Palacefields, Runcorn was pinned against a road barrier after being thrown off his bike.
Firefighters had to use special cutting equipment to prise open the crash barrier and free him.
The accident happened around 3am on Saturday, December 30.
Mr Blackburn, married with children, is still in intensive care in Warrington Hospital. His condition was described by medical staff yesterday as "comfortable and stable".
A MOTORIST seriously injured in an accident which killed his brother is making progress.
Mr Rolands, 26, has been transferred from intensive care to a ward in Warrington Hospital.
His condition was described yesterday as "comfortable".
His brother, Colin, 24, of Folkestone Way, Murdishaw, Runcorn, died in the crash on the A56 in Preston Brook.
Firefighters had to cut both victims out of the wreckage.
A police spokesman said the Vauxhall Cavalier was overtaking when it overturned and collided with a set of pedestrian traffic lights.
The accident happened around 11.15pm on Wednesday, December 20.
