QUEENS Park, of the Houlihan's Birkenhead Sunday Football League, booked their place in the Wirral Cup semi-finals with a 3-0 triumph at Dingwall. John Thompson hit a brace of goals, Phillip Hughes the other.

Archers Social suffered extra-time heartbrak against De Cordova Octel, the teams locked 2-2 at the end of normal time. It needed a penalty shoot-out to settle the issue - and Octel won 4-2.

In the Premier Division, Kel moved into fourth spot with a 1-0 win over Royal Sun Alliance, Paul Bishop on target. The Dock stay in third place, also with a solitary goal win against Brow. Michael McGraa netted.

Glen Rooney hit a hat-trick in Rock Ferry Social's 7-1 demolition of Shaftesbury FC. Also on target were Nick Philips, 2, Tony Lucas and Andy Graham.

In Division One, St John's were surprise 1-0 winners at Heygarth, Nicky Carr hitting a late winner, while Paul Haddock hit a hat-trick as top club Stiles beat Warwick 4-0. Garry Duckers scored the other. The Jockey (Garry Rafferty, Andy Pugh) drew 2-2 with Swan.

Tranmere Victoria (Lee Bonner) and Upton Celtic (Paul Parker) drew 1-1 in Division Two.

Top score of the day was Black Horse's 10-0 romp at Octel, James Farey hitting five goals with Steve Naughton and Peter Henson grabbing two each and Paul Anderson and Neil Campbell one apiece.
