I WRITE on behalf of the Thetis Families Association.
HMS Thetis was a submarine built at Cammell Laird in 1939 and sent on trials in Liverpool bay off Anglesey. After torpedo trials, it never surfaced - and 99 of the 103 men on board perished.
There was lots of controversy regarding the whole scenario, which I am sure many older readers will remember. This Association is dedicated to finding the whole truth and is currently seeking to acquire a copy of the official public inquiry report.
I would be pleased to hear from anyone who is interested in our organisation and its aims.
