WIRRAL'S Labour-controlled council has raised council tax well above the rate of inflation for many years. With the large increases we have been paying, the public of Wirral should have seen vast improvements.
But not so. You only have to read the letters pages in the local press to note the dissatisfaction of residents in all parts of the peninsula.
Conditions are deteriorating, not even staying level, let alone improving. This, in spite of all the outside money received in certain areas.
Why are we not seeing improvements and where is the council spending our money? The suggestion to call in outside consultants may well be worthwhile.
I am not a political person but feel it may now be the time to give another party a chance at the next local elections to see if they can serve Wirral better.
