A HOST of local dignitaries and ten youngsters threw their dignity, along with themselves, from the top of a fire training tower on Saturday.
Members of the Deeside Youth Initiative (DYA) and local politicians and officials abseiled from the training tower at West Kirby Fire Station to promote the work of DYA.
The group is based in Pensby and provides opportunities for youngsters to get involved in different types of activities.
Stephen Hesford MP, Wirral Borough Council officers Stephen Maddox and Terry Hall, along with Insp Dave Wright of Merseyside Police hung around for the event too.
It was also an opportunity to promote 'Friends of the Fire Service' and get new members to help keep Wirral free from fire.
