A PAIR of Wirral chefs are cooking up a storm in the catering world.
Gerard O'Sullivan, 37, and Andy Horne, 31, have worked together at the Liverpool Marriott Hotel since 1998, and have contributed to the growing reputation of its award-winning Oliviers Restaurant.
Now Gerard is set to move to Marriott's Liverpool South Hotel as Executive Chef, while Andy takes over the reins as Head Chef at the city centre hotel.
Gerard, who lives with his wife and three children in Oxton, has over 2,000 cook books and is a seafood and Chinese recipe fan.
Andy, who was Sous Chef at the now closed Past Times Restaurant, Birkenhead, says it was wise words from his nan that have got him where he is today.
He said: "At school, it was a choice between a job as a policeman or a chef, and as my Nan told me, people will always want food, so that made up my mind."
