TV SOAP stars will be putting their football skills to the test in a charity match.
The organiser, Steve Slack, said: "Mersey Television has been very generous in providing a team to play in aid of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. I'm sure there will be plenty of girls that will want to see the lads from 'Brookside' and 'Hollyoaks' in the flesh!"
The soaps stars will be playing against the staff of mobile phone company Carphone Warehouse, cheered on by Rupert the Bear, campaign mascot.
The match will take place at Newton Football Club, Frankby Road, Greasby, on Sunday, at 2.30pm. Admission on the day will be just 50p for under-16s and £2 for adults with all proceeds going charity.
