MY daughter was lucky enough to go to grammar school, a few years ago now, but once she was actually there we found many of her school friends did not actually live locally.
Quite a high percentage had actually been to private school. Many lived outside the catchment area, but wealthy parents just rent a flat for a nominal amount of time in the appropriate area, get a few utility bills and hey presto!
