YOUR correspondent Richard Kimberley (Mailbox, September 29) should be thankful that he doesn't live in the Pensby/Heswall area.
The No. 72 'First' bus only runs once an hour in the evenings, so when one doesn't arrive it can be a great inconvenience and, believe me, they frequently don't turn up! Sometimes two consecutive buses don't run.
The 72 service has deteriorated over the last year and is now utterly unreliable. I recently sent an e-mail complaint to First, but did not even receive the courtesy of a reply.
I then complained to Merseytravel, the authority who licence First, via their website - but I haven't received a reply from them, either!
