YOUR readers may like to know that a ceremony is to be held at the end of this month to commemorate the life of Victoria Cross and Military Medal holder John O'Neill.
His grave was recently discovered in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hoylake, by Air Scouts on a clean-up mission.
The service is to be held at St Hildeburgh's Church, Stanley Road, Hoylake, on Sunday, October 31 at 10am and will be followed by the dedication of a plaque at Holy Trinity Cemetery at 11am.
