BOWLER Matt Gilmore was the latest winner in the Sunday Morning Flyers, following his 21-15 victory over Ron McKenna.

A total of 42 players turned up, 11 making their first visit of the season, and players wanting to play are asked to ensure they are at Birkenhead Park this Sunday (October 17) in good time for the 10am start, as a prompt start is required.

Matt Gilmore also won the Aughton Institute finals on Friday evening with a 21-14 victory over Cliff Massey (Liverpool). In his semi-final, Matt defeated Alan Hill 21-12.

The Pensby Open Doubles competition is filling up fast and organiser Kath Davies is taking entries at £8 per pair on 678-0155. For those wanting to escape some of the Christmas mayhem, this competition is for you as it takes place on Tuesday, December 28, starting at 9.30am. Pairings can be all-male, all-female or mixed, but early entry is advised.
