YOU may have seen articles in the Wirral Globe recently referring to our anti-social behaviour blitz.

This is in response to the number of calls we get every year from communities across Merseyside whose lives are affected by all sorts of anti-social behaviour and nuisance.

This is now one of our top priorities and will remain so while it's one of yours. But we need your help. Keep telling us where anti-social behaviour is happening by either the calling the police or phoning the independent Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555111.

With this information we can target our resources at hotspot areas, responding swiftly to repeat victims and come down hard on repeat offenders.

Our commitment to you is that we will:

q Treat all calls of anti-social behaviour seriously and officers will commit themselves to a realistic response time.

q Ensure a neighbourhood officer provide an update to the victim in person or over the phone within 24 hours

q Give you a bronze, silver or gold response led by a constable, sergeant or inspector depending on the nature, severity and frequency of the incident.

Bernard Hogan-Howe,

Chief Constable,

Merseyside Police.
