HIPPYS On The Hill are at the Liverpool 02 Academy this week as part of their new tour.

The young Wirral rockers, set to record a new EP early next year, are at the Hotham Street venue on Thursday night, November 19.

The tour opened at the Fluid Lounge in St Helens on Saturday. It continues at the Cock and Bottle in Tarleton, Lancashire, on December 10; Blundell Street in Liverpool on Sunday December 13; charity gig at the Liverpool 02 Academy on Tuesday December 15; The Pilgrim in Liverpool on Saturday, November 21 for Alder Hey Imagine Appeal; Knowles Arms in Blackburn on Friday January 8; Swinging Arm in Church Street, Birkenhead on Thursday January 16 and the Liverpool 02 Academy on Friday January 29.

The band - Mike Priest, Craig Henderson, Brad Done and Sean McMinn-Davies, are set to record a new EP at the Animal Farm Studio in London next year.

They burst onto the music scene four years ago and built up a reputation as one of Liverpool's most exciting live bands.

They even caught the attention of Classic Rock magazine, who featured the band – and gave away one of their tracks – with the magazine.

Sean McMinn-Davies said: "Things are really starting to happen for us now, and these upcoming gigs are some of the most important we’ve played.

"We spent last year working up some really exciting new material, consolidating what we've already achieved, and playing bigger and bigger venues, including Liverpool's 02.

"Our latest dates include 14+ and over 18s, so there's something for all our fans. Headlining at the 02 is gonna be amazing - we’ve played there before, but as support so we're loving the fact that it's our gig! We'll have a blast!"
