I have just received my “New two-year calendar for green and grey bins” from the council.
It informs me that, among other things, I cannot put fluorescent tubes or low-energy light bulbs in my green bin, but that I must take them to the Bidston Recycling Centre.
This is not being environ-mentally friendly and certainly is not cost-effective.
How do I get to Bidston if I have no car?
If I go on public transport, will the bus driver allow me on with a two-metre tube?
And will the recycling centre allow me to just walk in? I pay my council tax and expect the council to collect my rubbish, not tell me what they will collect and expect me to take the rest to different recycling centres.
Name and address supplied.
