TEENAGER Alex Parry listed the first two things she wants to buy with her £6.5m Euro Millions money - a blue Vauxhall Corsa and an education.

The 19-year-old had previously decided against getting a degree because she was scared of taking on student debts.

But now the former Wallasey School sixth-former - she only left last year - can afford almost anything she wants in the world.

Asked why she would even need to go to university now she's hugely wealthy, the down-to-earth Everton fan said: "To get a further education. To be acknowledged for something."

Alex is the youngest member of The Magnificent Seven syndicate which scooped a half share of the £91m Euro Millions rollover jackpot on Friday evening.

The other half was won by a couple from South Wales.

The syndicate, which only formed four months ago, includes John Walsh, 57, James Bennett, 28, Sean Connor, 32, Alex, Emma Cartwright, 23, Ceri Scullion, 35 and Donna Rhodes, 39.

Each put a pound into the pot with leader John Walsh adding the extra 50p to buy five lucky dip tickets.

All of them were working through Manpower for Hewlett Packard at BT's call centre in Wood Street, Liverpool - although they've all now handed in their notice.

Also working in the same office was Alex's sister Natasha - but she wasn't part of the syndicate.

"She was happy for me but I think she was secretly gutted when she found out the news," said Alex.

"I have a big family with a mum, a step dad, two sisters, a brother, a step brother and step sister so I will be making sure they all have a nice Christmas.

"I've been saving up for the past year to buy myself a car so I think the first thing I will do is treat myself to a blue Vauxhall Corsa, in support of my favourite football team - Everton FC."

Alex and the other members of her syndicate were unveiled at a packed, champagne-soaked press conference at Thornton Hall Hotel in Thornton Hough on Tuesday.

Wallasey School headteacher Philip Duffy said: "We at Wallasey School are delighted that Alex, a former student - and avid Everton supporter - has won a significant lottery award.

"She always thought about others before herself and was an extremely hard working and popular young lady.

"We are all thrilled for her and her family and wish her every success in her future."
