MERSEYSIDE TUC are holding womens and juniors five-a-side football tournaments at Wallasey’s Central Park this weekend as part of their May Day Festival.
The Saturday, May 2 event will also includes the traditional May Day march, Wallis Funfair, children’s entertainment and an afternoon of fun.
Alec McFadden, President of Merseyside TUC said: "This is the first time that the event is aimed at women and junior teams, women open age and under 11s, and we expect to have a lot of interest.
"The tournament will consist of eight teams and the first to enter is a team from PCS the civil service trade union. The tournaments kick off at approximately 1pm.
"We therefore invite interested teams, including women and junior teams, to ring 666 1999 to book a place in the tournament".
Two referees are needed for the women's 5-a-side Football tournament.For details, contact Pam on 0151 666 1999.
