ENGLAND finally continue their 2026 World Cup campaign tonight after a flying start under Thomas Tuchel.
You could watch it at home - but for those looking to soak up the atmosphere (and midweek pints) alongside their countrymen, we have compiled a list of match-ready Wirral pubs.
From Meols to Great Sutton, big screens and good deals await. Here's our top five:
The Railway, Meols
The Railway in Meols has a "families welcome" policy for this World Cup, and will be screening the action tonight on both its indoor and outdoor screens. But tables are booking up fast, so head to the Hungry Horse website if you want to secure one (you can also pre-book four pints).

Dee View Inn, Heswall
The Dee View Inn is an independent, traditional pub on a famously tight corner, overlooking the Dee. Decked out with footy-mad decorations, this is a proper village pub atmosphere to enjoy the England game in. See if you can spot the life-size Jude Bellingham on your way in!

The Master Mariner, New Brighton
The Master Mariner boasts an astonishing 100-inch screen, plus eight additional screens throughout the venue, as well as one of the Wirral's biggest beer gardens. Special drinks deals include a burger and a pint for £12, and there is also darts and pool to enjoy during the hydration breaks.

The Farmer's Arms, Frankby
The Farmers Arms will screen the match in the beer garden on its giant outdoor screen, although regulars will find ample screens to watch it inside if they prefer. As a country pub, it also brings a more polished food‑and‑drinks offer than some match‑night boozers, with a big beer garden that should suit groups wanting more of an event feel

Old Wirral Hundred, Great Sutton
The Old Wirral Hundred is a community pub in Great Sutton which offers a "great atmosphere, great food and great drinks". The Marston's-owned pub is gearing up to screen the first England match, posting on social media: "The stage is set, the Three Lions are roaring, and the moment is here. We’re ready, are you?"
