The Refreshment Rooms
The Refreshment Rooms has a sunny beer garden looking out over the River Mersey, so you can sit with a pint and watch the ferries and Liverpool skyline.

Fox and Hounds
The Fox and Hounds in Barnston has a large rear garden, so there’s lots of space for alfresco drinks and dining.
It feels like a traditional country pub garden, backing onto greenery and away from the main road.

The Farmers Arms
The Farmers Arms in Frankby is known for its huge beer garden, with plenty of tables for sunny-day pints and outdoor meals.
There’s a decked area, a separate garden bar, a big screen for live sport, and even a small play area to keep children busy while adults relax.

The Red Fox
The Red Fox at Thornton Hough has an expansive, leafy beer garden with raised terraces looking out over landscaped lawns and open countryside.
It’s a spacious, relaxed setting that works just as well for a long summer lunch as it does for an evening drink outdoors.

The Tap (Eastham Ferry)
The Tap at Eastham Ferry sits right on the waterfront, with an elevated beer garden that looks straight out over the River Mersey and across to Liverpool.
The outdoor space is lined with picnic benches and sheltered spots, so you can enjoy the views whether you are stopping off on a walk through Eastham Country Park or heading down just for a drink in the fresh air.

Cottage Loaf
The Cottage Loaf in Thurstaston has a classic country pub garden, with outdoor seating that makes the most of its pretty, rural setting near Wirral Country Park.
It’s popular with walkers and cyclists who pile into the garden after tackling the Wirral Way or nearby sandstone cliffs.

The Black Toad
The Black Toad in Hoylake may be a compact micropub, but it still manages a pleasant little beer garden at the rear that feels like a hidden corner off the high street.
There’s also some outdoor seating at the front, giving you a choice between a quiet tucked-away drink and watching the world go by.
