A WIRRAL man has created a new food app which helps people make meals on a budget while cutting down on waste.

Martyn Green, from New Brighton, has invented Fuudle, a mobile app that turns the food you already have at home into recipes while helping users track their shopping and spend ad reduced waste.

After a career in property and tech, Martyn turned his attention to food with the support from his wife Gemma and a growing team.

Martyn said: “The idea for Fuudle came from our own kitchen.

“We’d often find ourselves staring into the fridge wondering what we could make without nipping out to the shops or just ordering take away.

“Fuudle was born from that everyday frustration. It’s smart, it’s simple, and it’s designed to help people get the most out of what they’ve already got.”

The app’s first version is already complete and being tested. It lets users store recipes, plan meals, and keep tabs on their food budget.

Fuudle is also adding AI-powered features that allow you to scan ingredients with your phone and get instant meal suggestions.

Martyn said: “It’s been amazing to see how well it’s been received.

“What started in our kitchen in New Brighton is now being talked about in classrooms across the country.

“We’re keeping our feet on the ground. We just want to help as many people as possible enjoy cooking again, save a few quid on the weekly shop, and feel better about the food they eat. If Fuudle can do that, I’ll be made up.”
