FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a house in Prenton last night (Monday, September 30).
Crews were called to the semi-detached property, which is believed to be derelict, on Alfred Road at 9.23pm and on scene at 9.27. The fire was on the first floor.
According to a statement on Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service's website, six fire engines and an aerial appliance were in attendance at the scene.
According to the fire service website, four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire using two hose reel jets.
Another two firefighters checked the adjacent property for any fire spread.
The fire was extinguished by 11.30pm.
Crews remained on scene to hot spot and dampen down the area. A thorough search of the property took place and all persons are accounted for.
