A FORMER manufacturing site in Birkenhead has been sold to West Wallasey Fleet Hire Services for £1.4m.
The four-acre site on Beaufort Road was sold on behalf of Survitec by Legat Owen.
Survitec - which specialises in survival technology, fire solutions and survival craft technology, has recently relocated to Aviator in Ellesmere Port.
The new owners are West Wallasey Fleet Hire Services, a company specialising in long-term flexible van rental, operating a fleet of more than 17,000 vehicles.
Rupert Chadwick Dunbar, Legat Owen said: “Sites such as this one don’t come along very often, and when they do we make sure our clients get the best possible deal.”
“Its prominent location within Liverpool’s freeport area and appealing future prospects made it an attractive site.”
The detached former manufacturing site comprises four units.
Survitec Group’s legal team were DWF and West Wallasey Fleet Hire Services were advised by Harworth & Gallagher.
No other details have been released on what the site will be used for.
