A fallen tree caused 'major' disruption for Ellesmere Port line rail services earlier this morning.
Merseyrail's had tweeted that: "Due to a fallen tree blocking the tracks between Ellesmere Port and Overpool the Ellesmere Port line is disrupted."
Disruption was expected until 10.30am. Replacement buses were in operation between Ellesmere Port and Hooton in both directions.
A Merseyrail spokesperson said the tree has been cleared from the track and services are now back to normal.
