WIRRAL'S motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M53, from 9pm September 1 to 5am September 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M53 both directions, junction 5 to junction 4 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.
And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A41, from 9pm September 2 to 5am September 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M53 northbound, junction 6 to junction 5 - carriageway closure for structure - new/reconstruction.
• M53, from 8pm September 3 to 5am September 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M53 northbound, J4 to J3 - lane closure for communications.
• A41, from 9.30am to 3pm on September 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A41 northbound, from Hooton Green to M53 Lane one closure due to grass cutting.
• M53, from 9pm September 15 to 5am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M53 northbound, two to 2 - carriageway closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.
• M53, from 8pm September 16 to 6am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M53 both directions, junction 2 to 1 - lane closure for inspection/survey.
