THE Lighthouse pub in Wallasey has announced has reopened.

The Wallasey Village pub reopened to its customers on Friday, August 23 following a renovation.

The Lighthouse closed its doors in July and has now reopened following completion of major works both inside and out.

The inside of the pub has received a makeover with modern new refreshed décor. Internally the pub has an open-plan design with an area for sports fans, and a champagne and cocktail area. The gardens have also undergone an expansion, now with an increased capacity of almost 300 covers.

The pub has kept the same menu with plans to launch a new menu later in the year.

Behind the bar, the drinks menu has had a refresh, offering a new range of drinks including Cruzcampo, Thatchers Fusion, Thatchers Gold, and a new cocktail menu.

Tina Tiley, General Manager of the Lighthouse said: “Our team at the Lighthouse are excited to showcase our much improved pub to the local community.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming both new and old customers.

“The renovation has given the pub a much-needed refresh, and we’re excited for our customers to experience the improved facilities.

“Whether customers are looking for a drink with friends, a meal with the family or enjoying a sporting event, there really is something for everyone.”

Alongside seasonal events, the Lighthouse hosts a regular programme of activities, including a quiz night on Thursday and a meet and mingle event every third Tuesday of the month.

The investment has provided multiple job opportunities to the local community and the pub team has grown from a team of 34 to 40, creating new jobs for locals.
