DRIVERS in and around Wirral will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A41, from 11.22am August 12 to 11.59pm August 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A41 northbound, Lane one closure at, junction of New Chester Road and Hooton Road due to trace and excavate due to gas escape.
• M53, from 8pm August 19 to 5am August 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M53 both directions J3 to J5 - lane closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.
And one more closure will begin over the next two weeks:
• A41, from 9pm September 2 to 5am September 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M53 northbound, junction 6 to junction 5 - carriageway closure for structure - new/reconstruction.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
