A MAN has been arrested after allegedly claiming to be a police officer while at a night club in Wirral.
The arrest was made following an incident at a club in Birkenhead on Saturday, August 17 where a man from Ellesmere Port claimed to be a police officer and also claimed to have a warrant card.
The 37-year-old was arrested at an address in the Wirral area on Sunday, August 18 on suspicion of impersonating a police constable, possession of cocaine and theft
He has been questioned by detectives and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
