'POWER supply problems' are affecting Wirral line rail services this afternoon.
Merseyrail tweeted that: "Due to power supply problems at James Street, services on the Wirral Line are suspended.
"West Kirby/New Brighton services will start and terminate at Birkenhead North.
"Chester/Ellesmere Port will start and terminate at Birkenhead Central".
According to its website, disruption is expected until 5pm and 'replacement road transport services are in operation'.
