EMERGENCY services attended an incident in Tranmere after a double decker bus became wedged under a bridge.
At around 6.12am this morning (Monday, August 6) Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service (MFRS) was called to Green Lane in Tranmere after a Stagecoach bus became trapped under a disused railway bridge.
A multi-agency meeting took place between MFRS, Merseyside Police and Stagecoach to devise a plan to remove the bus.
The bus was removed from under the bridge and a structural engineer was organised to assess the bridge.
Green Lane was closed in both ways from A41 New Chester Road to Queen Street.
MFRS crews cleared away debris and left the scene at 8.22am.
