'A roaring success'- New monthly market opens in Oxton

Up to 30 local producers showcased their products at the RAFA Club on Shrewsbury Road in Oxton on Sunday (July 28).

The next market will take place on August 25. 

A spokesperson for the organisers said: "It can only be described as a roaring success.

"All the stallholders and organisers were blown away by the support shown by the local community. 

"Visitors were seen enjoying conversations with the stallholders and catching up with friends whilst filling their bags with some of the best locally produced food and crafts. 

"All food stalls were fully sold out in the first two hours of the event, and we had absolutely amazing feedback from everyone we spoke to.

"We aim to make this one of the best monthly events on the peninsula, therefore we welcome any feedback.
