TWO men were left with injuries including a broken jaw and face injuries after being assaulted outside a bar in Liverpool city centre.

At around 12.20am on Monday, June 17, two men were assaulted by a man outside of Scruffy Murphy’s Bar on Rainford Gardens, near to Mathew Street.

One of the men was left with a broken jaw which required surgery and the second sustained facial injuries.

Detectives have now issued an image of a man who may have information in connection with the assault.

Detective Constable Suzanne Mulholland said: “This was an unprovoked assault which left two men injured, and we are determined to find the person responsible.

"We continue to work closely with licenced premises and partners to ensure that Liverpool City Centre remains a safe and welcoming place to visit, and identifying violent offenders is a vital part of this.

“Although not the clearest image, please come forward if you recognise the man pictured, as we think he may be able to assist our enquiries.”
