A HUGE showcase of electronic music is coming to Birkenhead next month.

The event, at The Bloom Building on Tuesday July 23, will feature Sulk Rooms, Kayla Painter and James Adrian Brown and promises 'an evening of electronica, synth and tech'.

The gig has been made possible by local promoters and record label, Moolakii Club Audio Interface and starts at 7pm,

A promoter for the show said: "For fans of all things electronic and synth, this night is a must — as a Holy Trinity of electronic music combine for an event that will build up from minimal to up tempo".

Sulk Rooms will bring his looped soundscapes swimming with minimal beats, before two special guests join him.

Experimental artist and producer Kayla Painter is regarded as one of the 'best ambient electronica artists in the UK' having appeared at Bluedot Festival and The Great Escape.

The guitarist from alternative rock band Pulled Apart By Horses is said to have made a huge name for himself as a solo electronic artist. Using analogue synths alongside tape machines, piano, strings and walls of ambient atmospherics, his work is said to capture and create sound in the real world with physical hardware.

Moolakii's Jez Thelwell said: "It’s very rare you get a huge electronic music showcase in Birkenhead with such top artists, so we’ve definitely hit a niche.

"As promoters and as a record label, we’re mostly focused on supporting up and coming electronic talent — giving them a platform — but to put on such a big event in our local area is really exciting. These really are top draw artists."

Providing a platform for peripheral and underground experimental electronica artists and projects, Moolakii facilitates small-scale DIY releases for emerging electronic music via Bandcamp and through their website, as well as stocking music in the likes of Dig Records. The event is their third event following two other successful showcases at The Bloom Building.

Jez summarised: "The previous two events went down a storm and The Bloom Building is a fantastic venue in which to host such events! We’re really looking forward to this latest showcase and hopefully it will inspire the local artists we work with through our label too!"
