DRIVERS in and around Wirral will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M53, from 9pm June 23 to 6am June 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M53 northbound, junction 3 to 1 - lane closure and carriageway closure for due to inspections.
And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M53, from 9pm June 29 to 5am June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M53 both directions five to 4 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.
• M53, from 9pm June 30 to 5am July 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M53 both directions one to 2 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
