BEACH wheelchairs have returned to New Brighton beach this summer.
The Floral Pavillion is offering a variety of beach wheelchairs free to hire throughout June and July to help people with mobility and physical disabilities access New Brighton beach.
Users of the chairs require assistance from a friend, family member, or support worker.
All chairs that are available to hire are equipped with support straps, cushions and harnesses.
Any additional support or accessories required to use the chairs will need to be brought by the user.
The wheelchairs are available to hire for three hours from Saturday, June 1 until Wednesday, July 31 with 10am and 2pm slots.
Booking a wheelchair Residents and visitors can book either by visiting the Floral Pavilion Box Office counter (Tue to Sat, 12pm to 4pm), calling the Floral Pavilion Box Office 0151 666 0000 (Tue to Sat, 10am to 4pm) or booking online here.
Beach wheelchairs are also available from Wirral Water Sports Centre for accessing West Kirby beach. For more information, visit the council’s website.
