A WIRRAL salon owner has praised her ‘superstar team’ after the business won two industry awards.

Clare Elizabeth Hairdressing, which is situated in Newton and opened less than two-and-a-half years ago, learned on Saturday night that it had won top 50 in the UK Hair and Beauty for “Best New Salon”.

All those attending were given the red carpet treatment in the Red Carpet Event hosted by former footballer-turned-reality TV star Jake Quickenden.

There were also performances from Britain's Got Talent winner Lance Corporal Richard Jones and JLS star Aston Merrygold. it was most definitely a night to remember.

She told the Globe that she was 'so proud' of the team's award success, adding that she has always maintained her focus on looking after her team "in order to provide customers with stability of hairstylist and standards, by continuously investing in building the team’s knowledge and skill sets to ensure the salon is able to provide current and advanced services that will achieve customers goals with their hair, be it colour, styling or hair loss solutions."

She continued: "I would like to thank my parents for all their support and my partner Tom for inspiring me and supporting me to even begin owning a business in the first place as well as my superstar team for all their hard work and commitment to the salon that has brought us to where we are today.

I am so unbelievably proud and passionate about the salon and the safe, creative and friendly environment we have managed to create for not only ourselves but all our clients and of course I’m proud of myself and of what has been achieved in such a small amount of time - but equally excited about what else is to come at Clare Elizabeth."
