THERE were delays on the M56 near Ellesmere Port this morning (Wednesday, June 5) after a crash which affected four cars.
Police were called to reports of a collision on the motorway near junction 14 (Elton).
Officers found that four cars had been involved in the incident on the westbound carriageway.
There were no reports of any serious injuries, but the occupants of one of the vehicles have been taken to hospital as a precaution.
The road was blocked while officers dealt with the incident, traffic conditions are now beginning to return to normal.
