THERE is “major disruption” on a Merseyrail train line today (Monday, June 3).
Due to signalling problems between Chester and Hooton the line via Chester is blocked.
Engineers are currently working on the line at Capenehurst due to signalling issues and train services running through these stations may face cancellations or alterations.
A rail replacement bus service is currently running between Hooton and Chester.
There is also delays on the Ellesmere Port line due to a train fault.
The 11.12am Ellesmere Port to Liverpool train was cancelled.
The 11.52am Liverpool Central to Ellesmere Port has been reinstated and will start from Birkenhead Central.
