WIRRAL'S motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M53, from 9pm May 13 to 5am June 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M53 both directions, junction 5 to junction 4 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.
And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A41, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on May 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A41 southbound, M53 to A41 lane one closure due to repairs.
• M53, from 8pm May 29 to 5am May 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M53 northbound, J2 to J1 - lane closure for communications.
• A41, from 9.30am to 3pm on May 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A550 northbound and southbound, Hooton Green to M53, junction 5 lane closures due to.
• M53, from 8pm June 4 to 5am June 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M53 northbound, one to 2 - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.
• A41, from 9pm June 6 to 5am June 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A41 southbound, M53 to A41 lane one closure due to repairs.
• M53, from 8pm June 7 to 5am June 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M53 southbound, two to 3 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
