A two-day festival promoting wellness is taking place in Birkenhead Park next month. 

After the success if its first event last year, Wirral Wellness Festival returns on June 15 and 16.

It will feature food, a wellness market, live music, expert speakers, live fitness classes, food trucks, live music and DJs, 100+ market stalls, fun fair and fitness activities for children, support for self development, mental well-being and more!

Sponsored by Win Win Water & Supreme CBD and in partnership with Birkenhead Park that has recently secured Heritage Status, Wirral Borough Council and Wirral Mind Charity, over 100 businesses and practitioners are involved in this year’s two day extravaganza.

From live music and inspirational speakers to activities from Merseryside’s top fitness instructors with taster classes such as yoga, breathwork, kettlebell workouts, HIIT, fitness challenges and somatic dancing, there’s so much on offer and something for everyone.

Taking place on Fathers Day weekend to focus on men’s mental health the ethos of wellness, health, community and connection, the festival is described as 'the biggest of its kind to be hosted in Wirral' — with thousands of people set to attend over the two days. Its aim is to bring people together to support physical and mental health — with an abundance of things on offer throughout the weekend to do so.

From a huge market to browse and nutritious food trucks to wellness treatments and therapies, the festival is all about nourishing the body, trying something new and connecting with yourself and others. Day passes are just £12.50, or just £20 for the weekend, and children under 12 attend for free — all pre-ordered tickets via Eventbrite come with three months free subscription to Martin Bone’s meditation app.

"It's by far the biggest event of its kind to be hosted in Wirral and it’s something that’s so needed in today’s society."

She continued: "We’re living in a world where mental health issues are on the rise, so through our festival we invite people to re-focus on wellness and come together to promote it.

"Birkenhead is a beautiful setting for it and it’s going to be a fun-filled weekend of goodness for all the family.

The event is strictly 'alcohol-free', committed to a sober, safe and inclusive environment.

Dune Radio will broadcast live from the festival in what promises to be a wellness extravaganza like to other in the stunning Birkenhead Park.

Co-organiser Becky Jones, who will be hosting yoga workshops on the day, said: "This kind of thing is so needed and we encourage anyone from all walks of life to come and get involved — whether you're an eight-year-old or an 80-year-old there’s something fun and nourishing on offer for you.
