WIRRAL Sports Forum has announced that its annual Sports Bursary awards scheme is now open for application.
The Wirral Sports Forum Foundation raises money primarily through the annual Wirral Sports Awards.
The annual multi-sport awards ceremony is set to celebrate its 60th anniversary this year.
The bursary scheme aims to help local Wirral sports people who need financial support to achieve their sporting goals.
This may be funding towards sports kit, travel costs to compete at an event, or a contribution to help with Sports Coaching qualifications to coach the next generation of young Wirral sports people.
The closing date for sports bursary applications is May 28 2024. Successful applicants will be notified no later than two weeks after the closing date.
The Mayor of Wirral will host the presentation of the awards at a ceremony shortly after.
