A GANG of teenagers “ambushed” a boy while at a Wirral petrol station.
Just before 7pm on Sunday, May 5 police received a report that a boy had been attacked by a group of youths on bikes at Go Tranmere 24 hour Express Petrol Station on New Chester Road in Tranmere.
It was reported that the gang had punched the boy who had jumped into the back of a stranger’s car, while the owner was filling up with petrol, and were trying to pull him out.
The gang then rode off towards Rock Ferry.
The boy suffered cuts and bruises to his nose and mouth during the attack.
Officers carried out enquiries in the area after the incident.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “Anyone with information about this is asked to DM @MerPolCC on Twitter, quoting log 771.
