WIRRAL’S first Nepalese restaurant is celebrating its first birthday.

Mt Everest, on Wallasey Road in Liscard, has been described as an “intimate little gem” for its Nepalese dishes such as MoMos dumplings and Gurkhali Chicken, alongside Indian classics and chef’s specials.

The first 12 months have seen many five star reviews across all platforms and the restaurant has been consistently fully booked at weekends.

The restaurant aims to transport people to Nepal, not only with their cuisine but through their decor, prayer flags and traditional music — creating a special dining experience for customers.

With colourful, flavoursome dishes that are a refreshing alternative, Mt Everest has been a welcome addition to the Wirral dining scene.

Owner Deepak Khadka said: “I opened the restaurant last year to bring something different to the Wirral dining scene.

“It is a great honour for me to bring my native Nepal to Wirral and the feedback from customers has been amazing these past 12 months.

“It feels really special to be giving locals an authentic taste of our culture and cuisine — thank you to everyone who has dined with us.”

After such a successful first year, Mt Everest are rewarding customers with 15% off Sunday-Thursday from May 15 until the end of May.
